Heart O' Lakes Camera Club
HOLCC is a local photo club affiliated with the North Central Camera Club Council (N4C). Our club was founded in the 1950s and through the years we have been very active in the N4C. One of our current members, Glen Merz, was one of the founding members---although he was in his teens at the time. Through the years our club has had several "Club of the Year" awards, individual gold medal winners, N4C Presidents and active involvement on committees.
Our mission statement is to foster the love and knowledge of photography. We are happy to have anyone attend (and join) who is interested in photography. We meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, September through May. See "
About Us" for more specifics.
Our members are interested in diverse types of photography: weddings, portraits, still life, scenics, wildlife and more. We offer a review of slides, prints and digital at the first meeting of the month; a time to learn what appeals to other people. The second meeting of the month we often have an educational program.
Among our members we shoot 35mm print film, 35mm slide film, 120mm print film, 120mm slide film and, of course, digital. The N4C offers monthly competition in several classifications; again, see "
About Us".
